Position Overview

As an Intern in our Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) group, you will have countless opportunities to expand your skills through on-the-job experience as well as internal and external training and development opportunities. Your responsibilities will span assisting with developing 3D models of HVAC systems, sheet metal, piping, and plumbing systems in buildings. Key Responsibilities

Assist in creating 3D models to comply with client and company standards.
Help generate construction documents from 3D models using Revit and other software platforms.
Develop flow diagrams.
Assist in tagging items within the model for use in the field.
Participate in the QA/QC processes.
Willingness to travel to job sites for field walks and occasional project meetings.

Requirements

Currently pursuing an accredited bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Revit as well as basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organization and time management skills
Team player with the ability to work independently to meet goals and deadlines
Ability to work full-time in the summer (mid-May thru early August, dates can be flexible based on school schedule)

Salary & Benefits

- Job Title – Intern
- Hourly pay – $15 per hour
- Helm will reimburse fuel expenses for work-related travel
- Helm will provide laptop for use during internship
